Early Years Blog 2024/25

 Week 6 - Painting  This week we learnt how to use paint and brushes. We looked at how we can we transform the surfaces around us by using colour and pattern. While we were painting we talked about the texture and shape of each object, what kinds of tool might we use to paint with and what the colours look like and the marks might we make. 

 We have been learning to subitise numbers to 4. 

 This week we enjoyed playing a spooky phonics game on the interactive whiteboard, we have washed and measured pumpkins outside and thoroughly enjoyed many different kinds of water play activities. 

 This week we have learnt the sounds g/o/c/k and the tricky words ‘go’ and ‘is’.
