Last week in Reception, we were learning about Chinese Lunar New Year by exploring traditional Chinese food. The children participated in an exciting hands-on experience making their own noodles! The children learned the names of different vegetables and practiced cutting them safely using the bridge and claw methods. We then watched Mrs. Hutton cook the noodles and vegetables in a wok, which was fascinating to see. To top it off, we transformed our classroom into a Chinese restaurant where we enjoyed the delicious noodles we had made, even trying to use chopsticks!
