This week, we had fun exploring 3D shapes like cubes, spheres, cylinders, and cones! We looked at the shapes closely, finding 2D shapes and talking about their flat and curved faces.
This week we decided to make rocky road for our class trip to the beach. Miss Merrifield helped the children bash up the biscuits which was a lot of fun and add all the other yummy ingredients. This will be a well needed treat to help us get back up Woodvale road!
We have been revisiting digraphs and trigraphs and today we played a word hunt. The children worked in pairs to find pictures around the classroom and match them with the word. They wrote each word and added the sound buttons to each as well. What a great job!
This week, the children focused on CVCC words, building and blending them through reading, writing, and word hunts. Phonics games kept them engaged as they practiced decoding and writing.
The beans have been growing steadily in bags on our classroom window, providing the children with a close-up view of their plants' development. Each day, they eagerly check the bags to see which seeds have germinated.
